Ideas For Family Christmas Memories

Ideas For Family Christmas Memories

A.

  1. Each family member gets a sheet of paper. Then they can write down their favorite memories.

  2. They each are allowed to come and go. You don't have to complete this in one day.

  3. They can draw or paint a picture of their favorites.

  4. They can cut out clip art or magazine people to create an active page.

On Christmas, share the finished items with everyone in the family. Let each family member share and discuss the person or group. If there are distant relatives longing to see your children, it would be lovely to share the memories with them.

B.

Serving Others and Family Memories

Gather all the family pictures of our times when we helped in our church and community. If some of the events are missing let the children draw a picture of what happened there. We don't want to help them, but guide them as they remember what happened.

The years that our family volunteered at the Salvation Army, pictures were taken by the leader there. She was kind enough to mail me a copy. Start a tradition by volunteering for service. Children will learn humility and develop a more Christ-like attitude. Training children to enjoy serving others will lead to an them being an adult volunteer.

C.

Christmas Family Traditions should be as meaningful on the 25th of December as they are every day. Many traditions become so popular with children that they will want to participate all the time.

Creating a notebook could be a fantastic method of storing memories without stuffing a box full of memorabilia. Some families enjoy having a scrapbook for each Christmas, filling it with their favorite activities and traditions. It's good to do this when it's fresh in your mind. Children's drawings and photographs will help the pages come alive and bring back feelings of cheer.

I prefer using a scrapbook notebook and using scrapbook paper. The paper is covered with words that tell the tale as well as pictures and photographs.

Other families prefer to make a scrapbook of specific topics or events and adding a few pages every year. Adding recipes that you made with your children will later be a tremendous scrapbook of tasty memories. This will also help your children use the same recipes and traditions that you began in their early years.

2023 Christmas Blessings Giveaway

We have come together to bring you a 4 winner giveaway. If you would like to win a $200 Gift Card of your Choice, just enter below!

Christmas came quick this year!! At least it feels that way when everywhere you turn there are signs of Christmas all around, yet we haven’t even gotten to Thanksgiving yet. It seems the Christmas season starts earlier and earlier every year.

It IS the most wonderful time of the year after all, so why not celebrate for as long as we can, right?! To help celebrate this Christmas season, I’m teaming up with a group of amazing bloggers to bring you the 10th annual Christmas Blessings Giveaway!!

I can’t believe we have been blessing families for TEN years!! We all love doing this and we look forward to it every year! While the giveaway has changed and evolved a bit over the years, many of participating bloggers have stayed the same – so many generous and dedicated women are behind this giveaway.

This year we will have FOUR winners!! Each winner will get a $200 gift card to wherever they choose – a restaurant, clothing store, grocery store, online retailer – any place that offers gift cards! There are lots of entry options in the Rafflecopter form below – the more you enter, the better your chance of winning! I know it can seem tedious and time consuming to go through all the entries, but isn’t a chance at $200 worth it? I think it is!

Plus, all of these amazing bloggers donated their own money towards the prizes, so this giveaway wouldn’t be possible without them. I hope you’ll take the time to check out each one. Who knows, maybe you will find some new blogs to follow.

The giveaway will run from Monday, November 13th

A lot of the Facebook group questions are asking ages of the children you are homeschooling and things like that. What if we aren't homeschooling any children?

I'm sorry that I just saw this comment. I've been on the road all day. The host has just placed (today) the rafflecopter code. It should have been working, but she sent a separate one, and it looks like it's working now.

The entry form won't load for this for me. I tried on my tablet, then laptop and then my phone and it doesn't show up on any of them. Is it only me having this issue?
